I'm not too fussed about bras but give me the right underwear and I feel like my life is so well put together. Everyone's so worried about the perfect outfit but what are you wearing underneath?
Firstly, let's talk about this gorgeous boxing which just so happens to be my favorite color! Scrumpies has done an excellent job with presentation - not only for the packaging but the garments themselves. Each one has their own style and theme.
I chose "Golden Delicious" because I thought the gold would compliment my skin tone well and I was completely right. I was a bit skeptical about the glitter material because like many, it literally feels like sandpaper on my skin. Surprisingly enough, these panties are lined with silk so you don't feel a thing! They were super comfortable, fit perfectly and I would definitely recommend them for someone who is looking to make some sparks fly. (Haha)
Lastly, each garment has a unique charm that makes it extra cute. I've never really thought to wear one on my underwear but it's a very sweet touch.
Whenever I tell someone I'm from Bermuda they always ask me why I'd want to live in cold, rainy London when I could be chilling in the sun on a beach. Although my little island will always have my heart my goals and dreams are far bigger than the place itself.
During my time in highschool I knew exactly what I wanted to be. My whole life revolved around fashion - I was interning for every designer, publication and volunteering at fashion shows. The more knowledge I obtained the better. I had my heart set on studying fashion in NYC like every other fashion lover but after graduation I attended university in Canada where I studied business. It was a bittersweet experience but that was short lived due to a number of things. There, I learned the meaning of friendship and was the first time in my life that I "took one for the team" (we won't get into details).
I moved back to Bermuda completely clueless about my next move and feeling worthless that I hadn't accomplished anything. I enrolled in some courses at the local college, babysat for extra cash and wrote stories for local magazines.
It took me going through a horrible experience, losing friends, losing myself completely and simply not being happy for me to seriously think about what I wanted to do next.
The UK was never my first choice but I gave in my resume and landed an internship with London Fashion Week. I told my parents my plan and I wasn't taking no for an answer. It was now or never. I literally left within 2 weeks - without my parents, to a country I had never been to before. I was going to make it happen even if I didn't know exactly how I was going to do it.
Fast forward 3 years later, I'm a graduate in Journalism & Fashion Styling, write for a number of publications in Bermuda, New York and London, started my own art scholarship and a junior Stylist here in London.
It doesn't matter how lost you get.
Thanks for looking after me these 3 years. From the disappointments that I learned from to the highlights that I'm beyond blessed to have received at this age. Helping me find myself a bit better and teaching me that anything is possible. This city is full of creative kids just trying to make their dreams come true - so thank you for being home to the art heads, fashionistas & weirdos. Love, Ti
What's so great about experimenting with your personal style is the new things you didn't know would suit you. Sometimes we have to get out of our comfort zones - it's like a hit or miss game but it's always worth the try.
Only until recently, red has become apart of my wardrobe. I've never owned a piece that was entirely the color or based an outfit around it so this was something different for me. I like it though! This ruby low-cut bodysuit can be worn with nearly anything - smart or casual.
To me, red is the core of iconic colors in the fashion world. It's so bold and growing up it always meant something special. Red lips and nail varnish was often associated with edgy, scarlet-like girls then over the years became known as a meaning of wealth and beauty. I remember seeing influential women with red nails and pearls, thinking it was such a classic look.
Okay, seriously who doesn't love wine?
Cotton candy sunsets, palm trees & a cool breeze is exactly what everyone needs after a long week of work. During the weekend, I had the privilege of covering Uncorked! Summer Wine Festival as a guest style blogger! The event took place at Barr's Bay Park, which was fitting for the occasion, as it overlooked the beautiful marina at the yacht club giving it just the right amount of class.
The dress code was summer chic in pink, orange & white (surprisingly people complied - shocker) so the venue looked amazing. The night started off with the wine tasting - red, white & rose then food to compliment. Oh & the photo backdrop? A flower wall! Yeah, bomb I know. Uncorked! was the perfect combination of classy yet relaxed & I was glad I could be apart of the night!
Although London is quite warm at the moment it's nothing more breathtaking than sitting on the beach in a pretty little island. I'm back home for the summer in Bermuda and its so refreshing to finally not be swarmed in tons of Uni course work. Bermuda Day is pretty much the kick off of summer and be prepared for the overload of boat day, beach chilling & rum sipping pictures to hit DressedToATi in the next few months. Enjoy your summer everyone!
If you ever plan a trip to Bermuda (for my fashionistas), I can guarantee you will find a house or building that will match your outfit perfectly.
Visiting or residing, the perfect wardrobe is a must to both fit the season and compliment your surroundings. Earth tones are always a "go-to" if you aren't really into the patterns and prints. They are simple & it makes no difference how you accessorize them because they literally work with everything! Note: Earth tones are amazing paired with gold.
